I am a licensed occupational therapist with ~3 years of clinical research experience in visual rehabilitation, currently pursuing a master's degree in Occupational Therapy at National Taiwan University. 從臨床痛點到數位平台:Rehab Trainer Hub 的起點 From Clinical Needs to Digital Platform: Origin of Rehab Trainer Hub
過去曾接觸一名因通勤職災造成第 III、IV、VI 對腦神經麻痺的個案,其斜視與複視包含正中眼位,初期缺乏自主雙眼融像能力。我透過文獻查證使用 PowerPoint 設計電腦化眼球動作與融像訓練,搭配眼動儀追蹤,個案逐步在正中眼位約 10 度範圍內恢復融像能力並順利重返職場。這段經驗讓我深刻體會到:將臨床介入轉化為可重複使用、可追蹤且易於操作的軟體,能大幅提升復健服務的效率與可近性,也促成了後續獨立開發 Rehab Trainer Hub 與多款開源自動化工具。
One clinical case involved a patient with cranial nerve III, IV, and VI palsies resulting from a commuting occupational accident. The initial assessment indicated marked strabismus, diplopia, and absent binocular fusion. Through rigorous literature review, I designed interactive computer-based ocular motor and fusion exercises using PowerPoint combined with eye-tracking monitoring. The patient successfully regained voluntary binocular fusion within 10 degrees and returned to employment. This demonstrated how clinically grounded digital tools can enhance rehabilitation repeatability and accessibility, leading directly to the creation of Rehab Trainer Hub.
